“To do more for world than the world does for you, that is success” – Henry Ford. We had a great day at Vacation camp on Nov 25th, where we Cooked for a Cause.
The campers cooked delicious food for Life Center of Eastern Delaware County. We made lasagna, pies and crudites platters. We help to prep the food and prepare it. It was a lot of fun to talk about the importance of giving back.
Cooking was the highlight of our day and we all got to help in one way or another. However, we had a ball with all the other activities we had during the day.
What is Thanksgiving in America without FOOTBALL? We played a great game of scrimmage, where everyone was a true winner.
We had fun with the different group games we got to play, such as Turkey/Bowl/Oven, musical hula hoops, and Turkey Ball (which is similar to pointball).
We got to go on an awesome nature walk, where we looked for nature items that we could use on our crafts projects. We were surprised to see that there were no acorns but we guessed that the squirrels got there first.
What a blast it was to create our Fall and Thanksgiving inspired crafts. We made thankful picture frames, Turkeys from our hands and our very own Fall Globe.
